Distance Education Alumni

Overview to the K-State Distance Education Alumni.
Students earning their degrees through distance education delivery methods is nothing new at Kansas State University. In the early 1900's K-State offered newspaper correspondence courses and starting in the 1970's K-State began offering a bachelor's degree completion program. Starting in 1995 K-State began offering degree programs online.
The K-State distance education program is now well established and recognized as one of the premier programs in the nation. We now have bachelor's degree completion, master's degrees and certificate programs available through distance education. K-State is "No. 1" in the number of national awards received in distance education over the past five years, and we have received more than fifty awards during the past ten years. We want to continue to build programs and services that are of the highest quality for distance and off campus students, and we believe that an active DCE Alumni will be a strategic body to help us do so.
In 2007 a DCE Alumni Advisory Committee was formed to help support the function of a DCE Alumni group. The purpose of the committee is to support the growth and enrichment of K-State's Division of Continuing Education program, to provide advice and insight based on past experiences with those programs and on current professional and personal experience, to promote DCE programs, and to provide leadership for the development of financial support for DCE programs and students.
K-State wants to hear from alumni who earn their degrees through distance education and we encourage you to complete the Alumni Feedback Form.
