The Department of Computing and Information Sciences at Kansas State University offers graduate courses leading to a Master of Software Engineering (MSE) degree to off-campus students residing both in and out of the United States. International students interested in this program must contact the CIS department for admission before taking classes. All courses needed for the degree will be offered via the Internet.

The discipline of software engineering covers the application of engineering principles to the building of computer software.
