Kansas State University

The Master's in Engineering Management (MEM) program is offered by the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering department (IMSE) at Kansas State University to off-campus students residing both in and out of the United States. The MEM degree will equip practicing engineers with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist them in effectively managing engineers and other technical resources to accomplish complex technical tasks. The program is designed to be a part-time program and typically requires two to four years to complete.

The curriculum is a set of integrated engineering and engineering management topics that develop a student's skill base focused on effective management of technical resources in engineering environments. Students will develop an economic, technical, and human resource perspective for the technical managerial decisions that they will face. They will be equipped to react to changes in domestic and international markets, workforce dynamics, and emerging technologies and be able to plan for the future success of their businesses. Some of the environments in which such skills are important include: government agencies, small to large-scale manufacturers, healthcare providers, military operations, professional consulting companies, and service organizations.

To stay competitive, organizations need more educated and informed technical managers. This need fuels the increased demand for graduates of Engineering Management programs. Join the K-State MEM program today and be the first in line for that engineering management position in your firm!
