K-State Tuition

Engineering distance education graduate tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year is $598 per credit hour. Tuition is subject to change until approved by the Board of Regents each summer. Students' only additional expense will be their textbooks. For the most up-to-date course costs, refer to www.dce.k-state.edu/engineering/, Course Offerings. Costs are listed with the individual course descriptions.

Late Fees

A $50 late fee will be charged for enrollments received on or after the first day of class. Late enrollments will be accepted with instructor permission only.

Refunds, Withdrawals, and Status Changes

There is a full refund if a course is cancelled. Other refunds are possible for a limited time. All requests for withdrawals and status changes must be submitted in writing. A complete policy on refunds, withdrawals, and status changes will be included with your registration materials or Course Information Packet and may also be found on the web at http://www.dce.k-state.edu/studentservices/registration.shtml.

Scholarships

Scholarships Are Available

The Robert F. Sykes Scholarship was established to benefit students enrolled in the Civil Engineering or Engineering Management distance education master's programs through the K-State Division of Continuing Education. Scholarships are available for the Spring and Fall semesters. For more information about this scholarship, visit http://www.dce.k-state.edu/students/services/sykesscholarship/. The application deadline for the Fall/Spring term is April 1 of each year.

The Maurine Allison O'Bannon scholarship provides money to degree-seeking students at K-State who are enrolled in Division of Continuing Education courses during the Spring and Fall. For more information or an application form, visit http://www.dce.k-state.edu/students/services/obannon/. The application deadline is approximately three months prior to the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.

Scholarship opportunities are available through the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE). Scholarship awards will be made by ASNE to encourage students to enter the field of naval engineering or provide support to naval engineers seeking advanced education in the field. Various programs of study, including mechanical, civil, aeronautical, and electrical engineering, may all apply to the field of naval engineering. For more information, call ASNE at 703-836-6727 or visit their Website at http://www.navalengineers.org/. Deadline: Applications must be received by February 15 of each year.
