The provision of a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound transportation system is critical to the physical, environmental, and economic health of the nation. A pool of highly qualified transportation professionals is required to plan, design, operate and maintain our nation’s transportation infrastructure, facilities, and services.
The Kansas State University Transportation Engineering Graduate Certificate Program is a 12-credit-hour fully online program that will provide you, as a transportation professional, with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills through graduate study that is less extensive than a traditional master’s program. You can pursue a focused collection of courses that allows you to receive recognition for your continued efforts in the area of transportation engineering. And, if you do decide to pursue a master’s degree, the graduate certificate courses you take may apply towards that degree.
The graduate certificate in transportation engineering is:
- Convenient. All coursework is offered asynchronously and fully online so you can study when and where you need to.
- Affordable. As a K-State distance education student, you pay the same rate regardless of whether you live in or outside of Kansas and the cost per course is extremely affordable compared to many institutions.
- From an accredited institution. K-State is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
This program is an initiative of the Kansas State University Transportation Center and the Mid-America Transportation Center.
