The English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement program allows elementary and secondary teachers to obtain an endorsement in ESL. Participants work in collaborative groups within their school district or location. The program is limited to Kansas teachers, and certification is valid only in Kansas.
The program is designed to allow educators to address issues that are relevant and applicable to their classrooms and school sites.
To complete the program, students must complete five semester-long courses totaling 15 credit hours. Participants are required to attend opening and closing sessions at the beginning and ending of each semester.
