Curriculum and Instruction

Prospective or practicing educational technology leaders at all levels may be admitted either as certificate seekers or non-degree/non-certificate seekers. Basic admission requires acceptance by the K-State College of Education Graduate Studies Office, phone 785-532-5595.

Full admission to a master's degree program in Educational Computing, Design and Online Learning/Classroom Technology Specialty requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, transcripts from any bachelor's work forward, and three letters of recommendation. Included in the required statement of objectives must be a statement from the applicant that he/she also has:

  • A valid K-12 teaching license
  • Teaching experience or the equivalent (for example, as a para)
  • Basic knowledge and skills with word processing, spreadsheet, and database, appropriate to grade level/subject
  • E-mail
  • Access to a high-speed internet connection (Cox, DSL, etc.)
