Admission to ECDOL and DTL Programs

Curriculum and Instruction

Prospective or practicing educational technology leaders at all levels may apply to the certificate, master's, or Ph.D. programs through the K-State Graduate School.

K-State's Graduate School website contains information to apply either online or by mail. Applying online is recommended and preferred. Full admission to a program in Educational Computing, Design and Online Learning or Digital Teaching and Learning requires:

  • a bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 from an accredited university or college.
  • transcripts from any bachelor's work forward.
  • three letters of recommendation.
  • a statement of objectives from the applicant showing current knowledge/use of technology, how their employment experiences relate to this area of study, and access to high-speed internet connection.

Additionally, students seeking admission to the Digital Teaching and Learning area must include in their statement of objectives information about their current teaching certificate/license and classroom teaching experience or equivalent.
