Conferences
K-State offers conferences and workshops for educators in both Manhattan and in other locations. Following is a list of programs offered each year with new opportunities added periodically.
Council for Public School Improvement – The Council for Public School Improvement annually sponsors an effective four-part conference series on the K-State campus in Manhattan. Nationally known keynote speakers discuss leadership and restructuring topics within the field of education. This series is designed to reach public school teachers, staff, and administrators.
Kansas Council for the Social Studies – The Kansas Council for the Social Studies holds an annual conference that provides educators with a forum to learn about new ideas, experience new resources, and make new friends in the Kansas social studies education community. The two day conference each fall provides a keynote speaker, high quality presenters and vendors. Conference sessions feature presentations on innovative instructional strategies, primary sources, teaching and learning history (U.S. Kansas and the world), government, geography, economics, as well as integrated curriculum. library media specialists and technology coordinators and administrators.
