Certificate & Endorsement Programs
Certificates
Certification programs are a non-degree credential designed to provide students with specialized knowledge that is less extensive than, and different from, a master's program. A certificate program represents a focused collection of courses that, when completed, affords the student some record of coherent academic accomplishment in a given discipline or set of related disciplines.
Academic Advising Certificate
The Academic Advising certificate program is designed for practicing advisors and administrators desiring more formal education related to academic advising, for faculty seeking advising knowledge beyond their discipline, and for graduate students anticipating academic advising roles.
Educational Computing, Design, and Online Learning/Digital Teaching and Learning Graduate Certificate Endorsement
The ECDOL Digital Teaching and Learning graduate certificate endorsement is designed for elementary and secondary teachers, school library media specialists and technology coordinators and administrators.
Endorsement
An endorsement is subject related. A licensed teacher in the State of Kansas can add an endorsement to his/her license. A licensed teacher may have an endorsement in agriculture, art, English as a Second Language, etc., which validates that the teacher is qualified or knowledgable in a certain area.
English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement
The English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement program allows elementary and secondary teachers to obtain an endorsement in ESL.
