Prospective or practicing educational technology leaders at all levels may be admitted either as certificate seekers, master's degree seekers, or non-degree/non-certificate seekers. Basic admission requires acceptance by the K-State College of Education Graduate Studies Office, phone 785-532-5595.
In order to apply to the certificate program or master's degree program, an application for admission to a master's degree program in Educational Computing, Design, and Online Learning/Classroom Technology Specialty must be made. Acceptance requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, transcripts from all previous degree work, and three letters of recommendation. Included in the required statement of objectives must be a statement from the applicant that he/she also has:
- a valid K-12 teaching license
- teaching experience or the equivalent
- basic knowledge and skills with word processing, spreadsheet, and database appropriate to grade level/subject
- e-mail
- access to a high-speed internet connection (Cox, DSL, etc.)
If the applicant fills out an online application on the Graduate School website, then the signature letter must be filled in by hand and sent by mail as well. For further information, call the K-State College of Education Graduate Studies Office at 785-532-5595. |
