Prospective or practicing educational technology leaders at all levels may be admitted either as Certificate seekers or non-degree/non-Certificate seekers. Basic admission requires acceptance by the K-State College of Education Graduate Studies Office , phone (785) 532-5595.
Full admission to a master's degree program in Educational Computing, Design and Online Learning/Classroom Technology Specialty requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, transcripts from any bachelor’s work forward, and three letters of recommendation. Included in the required statement of objectives must be a statement from the applicant that he/she also has:
- A valid K-12 teaching license
- Teaching experience or the equivalent (for example, as a para)
- Basic knowledge and skills with word processing, spreadsheet, and database, appropriate to grade level/subject
- E-mail
- Access to a high-speed internet connection (Cox, DSL, etc.).
If the applicant fills out an online application on the Graduate School Website then the signature letter must be filled in by hand and sent by mail, as well.
