K-State eID
K-State is implementing an enhanced management system for student computer IDs which is called K-State eID. Students will be required to use their K-State eID to access various resources at K-State.
The enhanced system allows students access to all the resources for which they are authorized, including a central e-mailbox, disk space, a personal webpage, access to the Digital Library, the antivirus.k-state.edu website and more. In addition, students will be able to use their eID to access KATS and K-State Online.
If you have taken a college credit class from K-State in the past you may already have an eID. Your K-State computing ID was rolled over and became your new eID. If you have not taken a college credit class in the past from K-State you will be asked to create an eID when you enroll. You eID will remain active as long as you are using it, even if you are no longer taking classes. If you have not used it for five years it will be released.
Passwords for eIDs need to be changed twice a year, in the fall and spring semesters, for security purposes.
If you have questions about eIDs send e-mail to eID@k-state.edu or contact the InfoTech Help Desk, 313 Hale Library, e-mail consult@k-state.edu, phone (785) 532-7722.
Parking
Parking is free on the K-State campus after 5 pm. If you need to come on campus before 5 p.m. you will need to park in the metered parking area south of the K-State Student Union.
