Criminology

The criminology degree is offered through the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work. The criminology concentration of the sociology degree prepares students for careers in the criminal justice system (including law enforcement, correctional institutions, court services) as well as advanced study in law or graduate work in sociology, criminology, or criminal justice.

Interdisciplinary Social Science

Social science is a branch of learning that examines society's structures, theoretical foundations, evaluation, and interrelation and how these institutions affect and are affected by human behavior. The Interdisciplinary Social Science degree from Kansas State University is a general social science degree. Students are required to take credits from a minimum of four social science disciplines. Social science disciplines include: anthropology, economics, geography, history, mass communications, political science, psychology, sociology, and women's studies.
