Criminology Degree

The criminology degree is offered by the College of Arts and Sciences. It is part of K-State's SOCAD-4 (Servicemembers Opportunity College) agreement. SOCAD-4 is a credit-transfer agreement with any military person who has taken 30 credit hours with K-State and has a GPA of 2.0 or better. If the servicemember leaves the area and takes courses elsewhere, he or she may transfer credits back to K-State and get his or her bachelor's degree from K-State.

About the program

The criminology program aims to provide students with a general understanding of the criminal justice system. Students will receive criminological explanations of criminal behavior, prevention, and treatment strategies. They will learn about the agencies that are created to help victims deal with various kinds of crime. They will also learn about the role of research methods in providing answers to common questions in criminology.
