SAMPLE THEME: Women and Social Reform Introduction to Women's Studies will assist me in better understanding how women perceive themselves within their own lives. In addition it will provide an introduction to feminism and controversial women's issues. Dealing with Diversity will allow me to place the role of female advocates in the wider context of diversity that includes race and religion. Women and Social Action will provide me a wider understanding of female advocates at the grassroots, national, and global levels and their impact on reform. Independent Study in Women's Study will allow me to examine the role of women in social reform within a specific case study context. SOCIO 541: Wealth, Power and Privilege examines the inequalities of American life, which very often leads women to seek change in society.
