Oral and Poster Presentations
Online submission is available.
The 2009 Water and the Future of Kansas Conference Planning Committee invites you to submit titles and abstracts for non-commercial, poster papers and oral presentations for the conference. Topics are open to any water resource-related issues such as policy; standards; management areas; surveys; municipal, industrial or agricultural projects; basic water science; and educational programs. Emphasis on the conference theme,“Assessing Impacts,” is encouraged.
Poster sessions are tentatively scheduled from 8-8:30 a.m. and from 1-2 p.m. The time allowed for a single-day conference means the number of oral presentations is limited. Abstract of proposed topic must accompany entry and consist of approximately 500 words. The audience is diverse, so please keep the abstract brief, easy to read, and non-technical.
Submission deadline is January 9, 2009. Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted. Please check for completeness and accuracy before submitting. You will be notified in late January regarding acceptance of your abstract and the format.
For poster papers, a 4' x 4' or 4' x 8' display board and table space are available upon request. Poster session/display presenters will be responsible for providing all other materials, including power cords, associated with their posters/displays.
Oral and poster presenters are required to register for the conference and to pay the registration fee.
You may use the online entry form to submit your abstract. Alternatively, you may e-mail your abstract, along with necessary entry information (see online entry form), to debbieh@k-state.edu if the formatting required (equations or other mark-up) would be better served using a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF version of your abstract.
