Oral and Poster Presentations

Online submission form

The 2008 Water and the Future of Kansas Conference Planning Committee invites you to submit titles and abstracts for non-commercial, poster papers and oral presentations for the conference. Topics are open to any water resource-related issues such as policy; standards; management areas; surveys; municipal, industrial or agricultural projects; basic water science; and educational programs.

The 2008 conference will focus on 25 years of progress and future challenges related to water in Kansas.

Poster sessions are tentatively scheduled from 8 to 8:30 a.m. and from 1 to 2 p.m. The time allowed for a single-day conference means the number of oral presentations is limited. Abstract of proposed topic must accompany entry and consist of approximately 500 words. The audience is diverse, so please keep the abstract brief, easy to read, and non-technical.

Submission deadline is January 10, 2008. Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted. Please check for completeness and accuracy before submitting.

For poster papers, a 4' x 4' or 4' x 8' display board and table space are available upon request. Poster session/display presenters will be responsible for providing all other materials, including power cords, associated with their posters/displays.

You will be notified as to the acceptance of your abstract and of the format.

Oral and poster presenters are required to register for the conference and to pay the registration fee. The conference brochure registration will be available in January.

You may use the online entry form to submit your abstract. Alternatively, you may e-mail your abstract, along with necessary entry information (see online entry form), to debbieh@k-state.edu if the formatting required (equations or other mark-up) would be better served using a Microsoft Word or Acrobat PDF version of your abstract.

This information is only being used for this conference and will not be shared with others.
