Accommodations
A block of rooms is being held until four weeks before the beginning of each course at the Holiday Inn at the Campus, 17th and Anderson Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas at a special conference rate. After the deadline, rooms will be reserved on a space-available basis only at the conference rates. Be sure to mention the Superpave Training when making your reservations directly with the hotel by calling 785-539-7531.
Parking
Parking is very limited on campus. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn at the Campus, the hotel is located directly across the street from the campus, and you will probably prefer to leave your car at the hotel, and walk to the K-State Student Union and Fiedler Hall. If you do wish to park your car on campus, mark the appropriate blank on your registration form and we will send you a parking permit.
IMPORTANT: In August 2007 construction began on a 1,400-stall parking garage on the south side of the K-State campus. When completed in late 2008, the garage will more than triple the parking capacity at the K-State Student Union. During construction, visitors are required to park in the football stadium east lot on the north end of campus (along Kimball Ave.).
Shuttle buses from the east stadium lot to the northwest side of the Union run approximately every 10 minutes on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Vehicles must be removed from the lot by 6 p.m. No shuttle service is available on evenings or weekends. During those hours visitor parking is allowed in any non-reserved stall on campus.
Superpave SF training participants should allow ample time to get from the east stadium lot to the Union. Please park at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the training.
