Registration and Fees
The "early bird" registration fee for the symposium is $165 and is available if your payment and form are postmarked by June 1, 2007. After that date, the symposium fee is $175. The fee includes morning and afternoon refreshments, one lunch, the Tuesday evening picnic dinner, the Wednesday evening banquet, and symposium materials.
In addition, those taking the symposium for credit need to pay as follows:
- 1 Graduate Credit
- $255 Kansas residents
- 2 Graduate Credits
- $507 Kansas residents
- 3 Graduate Credits
- $758.50 Kansas residents
For out-of-state residents, please call the registration office for fees. Paying the credit fee entitles you access to all K-State facilities including the Recreation Complex, the Natatorium pools, Lafene Health Services, use of the Library, and more.

Credit and Non-credit Information
The Music Symposium is offered by the Kansas State University Department of Music and is available for one, two, or three graduate credits. One hour of credit can be earned by attending all morning and afternoon sessions; two hours of credit can be earned by attending all morning, afternoon, and evening sessions of the symposium. Those wishing to earn an additional hour of credit must also write a paper or develop a project on some facet of the symposium, which will be due on or before July 14. The symposium can also be taken as a non-credit activity by just paying the symposium registration fee.
Enrollment Procedures
Please register onsite on Monday, June 18 at 8:00 a.m. in Leavengood Courtyard of McCain.
Refund/Cancellation Information
If you must cancel your registration, a full refund minus a $10.00 handling charge will be available if notification is received on or before Monday, June 4, 2007.
The Division of Continuing Education may cancel or postpone any course or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is canceled or postponed, the Division of Continuing Education will refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for other costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Those who register by June 1, 2007 will receive a confirmation letter detailing check-in procedures, a receipt, maps to direct you to Manhattan and McCain Auditorium, a parking permit (if purchased), and your name will be on the participant list handed out at the symposium, unless otherwise indicated on the registration form.
