Speakers
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Dr. Fred Burrack, new music education faculty member at K-State, will be introduced to you this summer as our keynote speaker. Fred is the ultimate music teacher, having taught for 20+ years in the public schools of Iowa before his decision to become a "teacher of teachers," a choice based on his desire to ensure the future of music education. He respects the work produced by each of you in your own school districts, and he will have ideas to support you in your local programs. Fred Burrack, the Friend of Teachers, understands what life in the public schools is like. He will relate to your successes and struggles in your life as a music teacher as he shares stories of his own. He is extremely knowledgeable and will bring to you ideas for taking your music teaching to a higher level.
