Keynote Speaker

Dr. David Royse, Chair of Music Education at the University of Tennessee, and former K-State faculty member, will return to share his expertise with his many friends in Kansas. Dr. Royse will be presenting sessions throughout Symposium on listening in music, helping music educators develop more meaningful strategies for involving our students in the Aural Art...music!

Additional Speakers

Dr. Jay Gilbert, Doan College, will be presenting on "HUMOR in MUSIC" as his birthday gift.

Professor Mick Charney from K-State Architecture will be presenting his captivating research of setting music to famous architectural visuals. Participants will be fascinated with this innovative use of music.

Dr. Norma McClellan, Southwest Missouri State University, brings her expertise in teaching across the curriculum with music.

Dr. Monte Selby, a nationally recognized educational speaker from Emporia State University will entertain us with his original compositions about growing up as the son of an educator! Another great celebration for our birthday.

K-State Faculty including Jana Fallin, Joe Shively, Frank Tracz, Scott Lubaroff, Alfred Cochran, and Paul Hunt will be involved in this year's Symposium Birthday Bash.
