About the Conference
The conference was founded in 2006 by the Kansas Masonry Industries Council and the Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science of Kansas State University. As the masonry industry and its technology changes, it is vital that the designers, the technicians, the contractors, and others are continually updated. It is essential that this education process be provided for the industry to be competitive with other materials and technologies. By attending, participants will have the opportunity to learn about superior building material. Another focus is to educate our constituents about how to effectively detail and construct masonry to perform to its highest potential. It is a goal of the conference to be self sustaining with any profits realized to be used to fund scholarships for construction science and management, architectural engineering, and architecture students.
