Robert V. Ullom
R. V. Ullom & Company
Ullom has spent most of his 40-year business career in commercial bank management, with primary focus on commercial lending, organizational growth, planning and structure. As president and CEO of two start-up banks, Ullom led both growth oriented organizations to profitable, sound status.
He has been teaching banking and bankers continuously since 1971.
Ullom received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University. Prior to becoming a banker in 1970, Ullom began his business career as a certified public accountant with Deloitte and Touche.
In 1989 he founded R. V. Ullom & Company, with the mission of providing relevant, practical, and "real world" teaching and training services to the financial industry nationwide. Ullom presents seminars on more than 20 topics for state bankers associations and other banking trade groups in more than 35 states. He also provides customized in-house training for community and regional banks, moderates panels, teaches at banking schools, speaks at conventions, and develops new learning programs for bankers at all levels – from entry level to CEO and board members.
