Registration Information
The $100 early registration fee paid by October 15 includes program materials, preconference tour, and the Celebrate Social Studies! evening reception, lunch, and refreshment breaks. Registrations received after October 15, 2008 will be $120. Walk-on registrations will be accepted, but space is limited and lunch cannot be guaranteed.
Day of the conference registration check-in will be from 7:30 – 8:15 a.m. in the main lobby area of the museum. The program is scheduled to begin at 8:15 a.m.
Participants may also check in on Sunday, October 26 in the lobby area of the Kansas Historical Society Museum Lobby from 3 – 8 p.m. Participants wishing to take part in the preconference tour, Pathways of Freedom (link to precon page) will want to check in at the museum at 3 p.m. The KCSS pre-conference tour is from 3:30 – 6 p.m.
Please join us in the Kansas Historical Society Museum for the KCSS Celebrate Social Studies Reception (link to reception page) and festivities from 6 – 8 p.m. Live music, food, beverages, fun learning opportunities, vendor exhibits as well as contests and door prizes!
Registration Options
Registration and conference assistance is being provided by K-State Division of Continuing Education.
Registration fees must be paid by check or money order made payable to Kansas State University, or by American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
If you must cancel your registration, please do so as soon as possible by sending an e-mail to registerdce@k-state.edu with the subject line “Kansas Council for the Social Studies Registration,
” or by calling the number indicated above. Substitutions are encouraged. A full refund, less a $20 administrative fee, will be made if notification of cancellation is received in the Division of Continuing Education conference registration office by 5 p.m. on October 26, 2008. After that date, due to guarantees we must give, refunds are not available. Refunds cannot be given in amounts less than $5.
The K-State Division of Continuing Education may cancel or postpone an event or activity due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is canceled or postponed, the Division of Continuing Education will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for other costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Special Assistance
A participant in a conference or non-credit program with a disability who needs accommodations or has special dietary requirements should indicate services needed at the time of registration.
