The Governor's Conference on Juvenile Justice will focus on Legal Issues, Facilities Issues, Prevention, and Community Intervention as they relate to juvenile offenders. Attendance at the conference will provide continuing educational units, continuing legal education, training, and general information to law enforcement, prosecutors, social workers, legislators, and others interested in juvenile justice, crime reduction, and crime prevention.

The Governor's Conference on Juvenile Justice is partially funded by a grant from the Kansas Advisory Group. The Kansas Advisory Group on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention is appointed by Governor Bill Graves to determine, advocate for, and promote the best interests of juveniles in Kansas. Following federal guidelines, the group is comprised of 23 community members from areas in juvenile justice. It is a group of committed citizens and state government administrators working together to help develop a continuum of prevention and intervention services focusing on accountability of both the juveniles within the system and the system itself.
