Climate in Albuquerque

Albuquerque has 310 days of sunshine, with a mild and dry climate, and four distinctly beautiful seasons. The very low humidity means that even when the temperature rises, summer is always comfortable. Average daytime highs in the summer are around 90°F (21°C), with nighttime temperatures cooling down to 44°F (7°C). Their average annual rainfall is about 9 inches and the average relative humidity is only 44%.

Be aware that low humidity and lots of sunshine means visitors should stay hydrated by drinking lots of water, as well as using sunblock for protection.

Also be aware of Albuquerque's high elevation of over 5,000 feet. If you are not used to these altitudes, it may take a few days for your body to adjust. At this elevation, the air is thinner and you may become tired faster during physical activity. It is important to drink lots of water to keep your body hydrated and avoid altitude sickness. Alcohol may also affect your body faster at higher altitudes.

Conference Attire

Casual dress is appropriate throughout the meeting. For comfort in the air-conditioned meeting rooms, a light jacket or sweater is suggested. Some suggested items that will be helpful in making your stay pleasant include an umbrella (on the off chance that it will rain), comfortable walking shoes, and several extra changes of clothing.
