Your guided tour will reveal the fascinating stories of the home and its history. View the majestic cypress trees in Louisiana's swamps bordering the Mississippi River. Heiner Brau Brewery BBQ & Tour Friday, 14 July Located in Covington, LA about an hour from New Orleans, the Heiner Brau Brewery is Louisiana’s newest microbrewery. Located within the brewery is a most unique museum. At night, the copper kettles and tanks gleam behind glass windows reflecting on beer making memorabilia and artifacts, documenting the rich heritage of German beer making in Louisiana – a tradition that first proclaimed the Greater New Orleans area as “The Brewing Capital of the South.” This legacy has been passed on to a new generation of German master brewers. Join us for this barbeque and one-of–a-kind museum tour... and taste the difference of a great German tradition. Menu items include crawfish etouffee, jambalaya, red beans with sausage, veggie lasagna and hot Po’ Boys (hot roast beef in au jus and BBQ pulled pork). Every ticket includes 2 pints of beer, specially brewed for this event. Buses will leave from the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel at 5:30 p.m. and return at approximately 11:00 p.m. This trip is limited to only 150 people, so register early!
