Hotel Information
The Rhode Island Convention Center is the location of the 2010 Joint Meeting of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists. Room blocks have been reserved at two hotels for Joint Meeting participants, The Westin Providence, and the Providence Biltmore.
The Westin Providence is the meeting’s headquarters hotel and is located in the heart of downtown Providence, just 15 minutes from T.R. Green Airport and an hour drive from Boston. An enclosed walkway connects the Westin to the Rhode Island Convention Center and to many shops and restaurants of Providence Place Mall. The Westin Providence features 364 guest rooms and includes Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed® and Heavenly Bath®, large work desk, dual-line phone with data port, high-speed internet access, voice mail, refreshment center, laptop-size safe, coffee maker, and complimentary gourmet coffee and tea.
The Providence Biltmore is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Providence and is just footsteps away from the Rhode Island Convention Center and Providence Place Mall. The Providence Biltmore features 289 guest rooms and boasts the largest sleeping rooms in the state. Guest rooms feature complimentary wireless internet access, voice mail, data ports, coffee makers, iron and ironing boards, hair dryers, and cable.
Hotel Reservation Information
The Westin Providence (Headquarters Hotel)
A block of guest rooms has been reserved for Joint Meeting participants. A group rate of $149 per night plus applicable taxes has been arranged from July 5-13, 2010. This rate may include up to four room occupants. Children and other accompanying adults are welcome.
In order to confirm a room assignment, attendees will be required to provide a first night’s deposit, refundable up to 24 hours in advance of your arrival date. Major credit cards are acceptable to establish payment. All credit cards used to prepay will be charged immediately.

- Personal Checks: Personal checks are accepted only for advanced room deposits.

Reservation Deadline
Hotel reservations must be made and secured by June 5, 2010. Reservations received after 5:00 p.m. local time at the Hotel on this cut-off date will be honored at the hotel’s prevailing rate, based on availability.
Make your reservation early by calling the Westin Providence at 1-800-937-8461 and be sure to state that you are with the Joint Meeting of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists.

Providence Biltmore
A block of guest rooms has been reserved for Joint Meeting participants. A group rate of $149 per night plus applicable taxes has been arranged from July 6-12, 2010. This rate is good for single or double occupancy. There is an additional per person charge of $20 per person, per night. Children and other accompanying adults are welcome.
In order to confirm a room assignment, attendees will be required to provide a first night’s deposit, refundable up to 48 hours in advance of your arrival date. Major credit cards are acceptable to establish payment. All credit cards used to prepay will be charged immediately.

Westin Providence: Overnight valet parking and self-parking is available for $26 per night with in and out privileges. Rates are subject to change.
