Location
IPPS 2009 will be held on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, Kansas. Manhattan is located 130 miles west of Kansas City in the beautiful Flint Hills, home of the only remaining tall grass prairie. The K-State Alumni Center will be the location of the two-day symposium. K-State Alumni Center is located on Anderson Avenue, on the south side of the campus.

Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn at the Campus for our participants. Please refer to the International People Plant Symposium when making reservations directly with the hotel by calling 1-785-539-7531. Online reservations are not available for the room block. The rate for single or double occupancy is $99.95 per night. Please make reservations before September 4, 2009, to receive the reduced rate.

Transportation
Manhattan is approximately 130 miles west of Kansas City on Interstate Highway 70, a scenic drive of about two and one-half hours. KCI RoadRunner is an airport van shuttle service that runs between the Kansas City International Airport and Manhattan. Schedule information and shuttle reservations are available online or by calling toll free (in the United States) 1-800-747-2524. Outside the United States call 1-785-539-2289, or contact your travel agent. Reservations are recommended.
