Fees
The cost of the 40-Hour Hazwoper Training course is $475. Fees for the 8-Hour Refresher Course are $125. The registration fees include all course materials, handouts, and a certificate verifying completion of the training course. Optional academic credit is available for the 40-hour training. Optional Academic Credit
The 40-hour training course offers an optional three hours of undergraduate credit through the Kansas State University College of Engineering. The course is listed under the Spring 2010 catalog DEN 398 ZC, class # 20975, course dates 1/02/10 - 2/12/10. The cost for Kansas residents is $823.71 for undergraduate credit and the non-resident fee is $1,854.15. Students taking the course for credit will be required to pay the $215 student registration fee in addition to the regular credit fees. If you wish to take the training for credit, mark the appropriate blank on your registration form. Enrollment for the January 2010 courses will begin November 2009.
Continuing Education Units are Available
Participants may receive a certificate of Participation reporting 40 contact hours, which will provide documentation for engineering (or other) Professional Development Hour (PDH) or Continuing Education Unit (CEU) requirements. The Cost for this certificate is $10 with your registration payment.
Reimbursable Fees
This course has been approved for Veterans benefits by the V.A. and for tuition assistance from the Education Office at Fort Riley.
V.A. Benefits
Active military personnel may be eligible for full tuition and fees, and non-active duty military may be able to apply for reimbursement based on their eligibility as determined by the V.A. Application forms for V.A. educational benefits and Veteran Information Sheets are available in advance and will be sent to you with our confirmation letter if requested. Please check the appropriate space on your registration form if you wish to receive the application form.
Forms may also be obtained at the registration table on the first day of class or by contacting the K-State Veterans Office, Kansas State University, 14 Fairchild Hall, Manhattan, KS 66506, (785) 532-7061. The form and Veteran Information Sheet MUST be returned to the K-State Veterans Office in order for you to be reimbursed. You will receive your reimbursement in approximately six to eight weeks.

Refunds/Cancellations
If you must cancel your registration, please do so as soon as possible. Substitutions are encouraged. The cancellation policy is: Full refund less a $10 processing fee if cancelled by December 11, 2009; $30 cancellation charge between December 12 and December 31, 2009; and no refund after December 31, 2009. Refunds cannot be given in amounts less than $5.
The K-State Division of Continuing Education may cancel or postpone any course or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is canceled or postponed, the Division of Continuing Education will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for other costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
