Overview
Please join us for the From Brown to Green: Sustainable Redevelopment of Contaminated Properties Workshop from Tuesday through Thursday, September 9-11, 2008. All sessions will be held in the K-State Student Union at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.
The workshop has been held previously in 2004 (Chicago, Illinois), 2005 (Rock Island, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa), and in 2007 (Springfield, Missouri). Local government officials, including brownfields coordinators, developers, architects, and any other individuals interested in sustainable redevelopment in communities would benefit from the valuable sessions, tours of green redevelopment sites, and collaboration and networking opportunities.
The goal of the workshop is to discuss and demonstrate the principles of sustainable redevelopment and best practices for applying these principles to contaminated properties.
