Overview

This workshop will review the latest developments in bridge design practice and LRFD, and provide information about available resources from AASHTO/FHWA and KDOT. We will address the common problems/defects (and their respective remedial actions) encountered using the different bridge materials, starting from production/fabrication to erection/construction. Presentations will be made by material producers, fabricators, and individuals involved in bridge design and construction. Persons from national organizations such as PCA, NSBA, and FHWA will moderate sessions and discussions. Participants will have ample opportunity to ask questions, interact with current professionals, and hear about problems and successes from those who have experiences both.
