We invite you to participate in the “International Conference on The Future of Agriculture: Science, Stewardship, and Sustainability (Integrating Science, Technology, and Policy to Address Environmental Challenges in the Agricultural Setting)” by submitting an abstract for an oral presentation or a poster presentation. Instructions for Submissions
Abstracts may be submitted for either oral or poster presentations. Abstracts must be accompanied by the Abstract Submission Form. (MS Word or PDF format) Oral speakers will have 25 minutes for presentations. A laptop computer with Microsoft PowerPoint software and a data projector will be provided. An overhead projector will also be available. Poster presenters will be assigned a 4-foot (vertical) X 3.5-foot (horizontal) display space. Posters must fit within these dimensions.
Abstracts are due by Wednesday, March 1, 2006.
Guidelines
- Abstracts must be single-spaced and typed in a common typeface used for text at 12 point
- No illustrations, references, or figures are permitted
- An abstract and all of its elements must not exceed one page
Title and Authors
- Begin with the title in all capital letters and bold-faced, flush left.
- Next, list the author or authors (normal type face). List the principal author first, intended presenter underlined.
- Below the author(s), in italics, list each author’s research address, phone number, and fax number. Use superscript numbers to link each author to his or her address information, if these are different for the different authors.

Abstract
Include an abstract of 200 words or less. Give a factual account of the contents and conclusions of the paper. Indicate any new information presented and its relevance to the topic. Use complete sentences and do not use jargon.
Key words: Include a list of three to five key words. This is required!

Large numbers of oral abstract submissions may mean that some abstracts must be moved to poster sessions due to time and space constraints. Notification of acceptance will be sent to all applicants in late April, 2006.
