25th Annual Conference
General Information
Welcome to sunny Orlando! The Academic Chairpersons Conference celebrates its silver anniversary in 2008, and what better way to do so than a February trip to the land of sunshine and amusement. The Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau offers information on all that Orlando has to offer.
The Academic Chairpersons Conference begins on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 8:45 a.m., and ends on Friday, Feb. 8 at 11:30 a.m.
Pre-conference workshops will take place on Monday, Feb. 4 and Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. These workshops are available for additional fees.
The conference provides plenty of networking opportunities with other department chairs from around the nation. Dress is casual and comfortable. You will want to bring a light sweater for added comfort in the air conditioned meeting rooms.
Topics of interest to department chairs are presented in paper (50 minute) or workshop (110 minute) format.
