The bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science is a general social science degree that examines society's institutions—their structures, theoretical foundations, evaluation, and interrelationships—and how they affect and are affected by human behavior. Students are required to take courses in four social science disciplines included in nine areas: anthropology, economics, geography, history, mass communications, political science, psychology, sociology, and women's studies.

The Interdisciplinary Social Science bachelor's degree provides important general preparation for a career. Students will develop skills that they can apply in many different roles and organizations.

To apply for the program, students must have completed at least two years of university credit courses from an accredited institution.

To complete the program, students must complete 124 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0. A minimum of 30 K-State semester hours is required, and 20 out of the last 30 hours must be from K-State.
