Grasslands comprise more than 50% of the land surface area in the Great Plains. The major use of the region’s grasslands is livestock grazing. Grasslands are also important for providing wildlife habitat, recreation, high quality water and air,and other environmental services.
An online Grassland Management certificate makes it possible to pursue careers in Rangeland Management, Ranch Management, Extension Educations, Environmental Consulting and Co-op Management.
The program is a 12-credit graduate certificate. Students are required to enroll in three core courses and two elective courses to earn the certificate.
