Kansas State University at Salina and Colby Community College offer a 2 + 2 that allows students to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree with an emphasis in Radio at Colby and to transfer the majority of those credits to K-State towards the completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Management offered through distance education. Technology Management Degree Option through Distance Education
K-State offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Management through distance education. This degree completion program is designed primarily for students who have completed the Radio Program at Colby Community College. The Technology Management degree provides a solid understanding of the fundamental areas in management: finance, accounting, business, and marketing. The curriculum is designed to prepare the student for the diverse environment of the business world as it relates to the radio profession. Applications for admission to this program are accepted through K-State at Salina.
A Career in Technology Management
K-State at Salina's technology management graduates are prepared for supervisory and management positions in a variety of related fields. Graduates can use their management and business skills to help further their radio and broadcast journalism careers, as they will understand how to hire and supervise employees, train new employees, train new supervisors and managers, plan budgets, and manage inventory.
