Barton to Serve as New Director of the Kansas Regents Network

Susan Barton has been named the new director of the Kansas Regents Network, TELENET 2, effective June 14.

TELENET 2 is a video and audio conferencing system, based at Kansas State University, that connects communities across Kansas, providing credit and professional educational opportunities in a convenient delivery format for people in the state. – Full Story

K-State Extending More 2+2 Agreements Beyond Kansas Border

Kansas State University is continuing the development of 2+2 agreements with partner institutions outside Kansas so students can complete a K-State bachelor's degree without leaving their home communities or sacrificing their jobs.

A new 2+2 agreement was signed May 4 between K-State and Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Mo. Under this agreement, Metropolitan students can earn an associate of arts degree and then transfer credits to earn a K-State bachelor's degree in general business through distance education. The 2+2 agreement applies to students attending any of Metropolitan's five campuses in the greater Kansas City, Mo., area. – Full story
