K-State Arabic Language Course Being Offered at Fort Riley

Kansas State University is offering an Arabic language course at Fort Riley during the second half of the spring 2008 semester.
Arabic 1 meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-9 p.m. March 24-May 17 at the main post.
The undergraduate course, worth four credit hours, offers an introduction to the structure of modern Arabic tailored toward an Iraqi dialect. Thuria Mossa, a native of Baghdad, will teach the essentials of grammar, speaking, reading and writing.
Mossa came to the United States from Iraq in 1982. She has taught Arabic at K-State since 2001. At Fort Riley, she works with different language and cultural programs.
