Waste Management Workshop for Colleges and Universities June 10 at K-State

The fifth Biennial Waste Management Workshop for Colleges and Universities will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in Kansas State University's Fiedler Hall.

The one-day workshop will give an overview of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act for those responsible at vocational technical colleges, community colleges, and public and private colleges and universities.

Topics include compliance issues with federal and state waste regulations, specifically with hazardous waste, medical waste, universal waste and recycling. An open forum will be held at the end of the workshop.

The registration fee of $125 includes all program materials, refreshment breaks and lunch. An optional certificate of participation for reporting professional development hours or continuing education units is available for an additional $10 fee.
