K-State Pinnacle Honor Society Inducts New Members

Twenty-nine Kansas State University students were inducted into the Pinnacle Honor Society at the 2008 Adult and Distance Education Recognition and Honor Ceremony April 21 in the K-State Alumni Center ballroom.
The Pinnacle Honor Society is a national honor society for nontraditional students who have at least a 3.0 grade point average. Inductees show a record of excellence in leadership, scholarship and service and receive life membership and a credential recognized for quality and selectivity by graduate programs, institutions and professional fields.
Inductees were presented with certificates and honorary pins by K-State's Duane Nellis, provost; Carla Jones, assistant vice president, student life; and Nancy Bolson, director of adult student services.
This year's Pinnacle inductees include:
Morgan Lillich, junior in philosophy, Alta Vista.
From Fort Riley: Magan Harrell, senior in elementary education; Sarah Plevinski, senior in dietetics; Tara Reinhardt, senior in elementary education; Kara Ruark, senior in psychology; and Candy Tryggestad, senior in family studies and human services.
Jamie Macke, senior in English, Junction City; Kevin Makin, sophomore in personal financial planning, Lenexa; Antonio Asebedo, senior in humanities, Leonardville.
From Manhattan: Sani Abubakar, senior in geography; Caroline Addair, senior in elementary education; Lindsay Ahalt, senior in biology and premedicine; Kaycie Baxley, sophomore in animal sciences and industry; Shannon Clauss, senior in education-modern languages; Audra Doak, senior in education-social studies; Robin Edmunds, senior in education-English; Janet Guvele, senior in social work; Thanh Hampton, senior in psychology; Cheri Lee, senior in history; Yuan-Chao Lee, senior in art; Nicole Meinhardt, senior in electrical engineering; Skilar Nonamaker, senior in social work; Hilary Rombeck, senior in dietetics; and Kelsey Thomas, junior in family studies and human services.
Tracey Welsh, senior in elementary education, Silver Lake; Megan Morgan, senior in elementary education, Wamego; and Traci Davies, sophomore in animal sciences and industry, Wichita.
From out of state: Kyle Casey, sophomore in political science, New London, Mo.; and McKenzie Woods, junior in accounting, Madison, Wis.
