K-State to Offer Online Courses Fulfilling University General Education Requirements

Kansas State University will offer nine online courses for the fall 2007 semester that are approved for university general education requirements.

Healthful and Safe College Life – EDCEP 103, reference No. 91501 – is a new online course designed for college freshman and students preparing to enter college. It will address pertinent health topics that affect college students and give them the knowledge to make informed decisions when faced with difficult situations. – Full story

K-State Offers Enrollment Management Courses to Higher Education Professionals

Kansas State University is offering two seminars this fall to help student recruitment professionals invigorate their recruitment and retention efforts.

A two-hour graduate credit course, Seminar in Practical Applications of Enrollment Management, will be taught online this fall beginning Aug. 20 with a virtual chat session. Led by Doris Wright Carroll, K-State associate professor of counseling and educational psychology, the course will discuss topics such as the role and function of enrollment management, diversity in enrollment management and institutional brand. Students will practice designing an enrollment management plan for their office, administrative unit or college. – Full story

K-State's Unger Takes Sabbatical After Stepping Down as Vice Provost, Dean

As Elizabeth Unger steps back from her dual jobs of vice provost and dean, she hopes her legacy at Kansas State University will be to encourage other women to surpass her accomplishments of the past 41 years.
